Dent Repair & Paintless Dent Removal in San Ramon
Door dings, shopping-cart dents, hail damage, and body-line creases — repaired with the least invasive method that will restore your panel to factory appearance.
Not every dent needs a repaint. When the paint surface is intact and the metal has not been stretched too far, paintless dent removal (PDR) lets us massage the panel back to its original shape from behind — preserving the factory finish, keeping the repair fast, and protecting your resale value.
When PDR is not the right call, our body technicians repair the dent conventionally and refinish the panel with computerized color matching in our downdraft booth. Either way, you get an honest recommendation and a free estimate before any work begins.

Paintless Dent Removal Protects Your Factory Paint
Factory paint is applied in conditions no body shop can perfectly replicate, and once a panel is repainted, that original finish is gone forever. PDR keeps it intact. That matters most on leased vehicles, newer cars, and anything you plan to sell or trade in, where an intact factory finish is worth real money at appraisal time.
PDR is also faster and less expensive than conventional repair because there is no filler, primer, paint, or cure time involved. Many single-panel dents are completed the same day.
When Traditional Dent Repair Is the Better Choice
PDR has limits. If the paint is cracked, the metal is stretched, the dent sits on a sharp panel edge, or the damage falls over a structural brace, pulling it out will not produce an acceptable result. In those cases we repair the panel conventionally: straighten the metal, apply and shape a minimal amount of filler, prime, and refinish with a computer-matched color that blends into the surrounding panels.
We will always tell you which method your vehicle needs and why. If PDR will not deliver a result you are happy with, we say so up front instead of trying it and charging you twice.
Hail and Parking Lot Damage in the Tri-Valley
Most dents we see in San Ramon, Danville, Dublin, and Pleasanton come from everyday life: tight parking structures at Bishop Ranch, shopping-center door dings, runaway carts, and the occasional hailstorm. Multi-panel hail damage is almost always an insurance claim, and we handle that paperwork for you. Single dings are often affordable enough to pay out of pocket without touching your deductible — we will tell you which situation you are in.
Why Choose D & S Auto Body Shop
PDR preserves your factory finish and protects resale value. When PDR is not possible, our color-matched paintwork is indistinguishable from factory — and both are backed by our warranty.
